Talentos Latinos Awards

In 2019, Latinos en Michigan TV started the Talentos Latinos Awards to reward the Hispanics/Latinos who, through volunteering and hard work, help their community – and by doing so – become anonymous heroes in Michigan.

Many of the people who received an award were featured in video stories or interviews produced by Liliana Ospina, the founder of Latinos En Michigan TV.

The event was held at La Terraza in Southwest Detroit, and it was attended by a few hundred guests not only from Detroit and its surroundings but also from cities such as Flint, Kalamazoo and Lansing.

They met that night to reward the efforts of many Latinos who silently and diligently work for their community, having little or no concern for self-recognition rather than serving their people.

In 2020, for the second time, Latinos En Michigan TV hosted the Talentos Latinos Awards to honor Hispanic immigrants who are making positive changes in Michigan by helping Hispanics/Latinos in need or by promoting positive changes in our community.

2020´s event highlighted Hispanic entrepreneurs, volunteers, activists, artists, influencers, and musicians positively impacting Michigan. The award ceremony was held once again at La Terraza restaurant located in Mexicantown on October 16th.

This was the only Hispanic community event of the year that was held on-site despite the pandemic restrictions. However, following all safety measures, the event was a resounding success, featured the performance of several Latino artists, and awarded those serving the community on a daily basis for the betterment of Latinos in the State of Michigan.
